Annauma is proud to share the participants of our 2025-26 Inuit Arts and Culture consensus granting cohort. Each of these organizations share a commitment to nurturing spaces where Inuit artists can thrive. Arts and culture strengthens community well-being, supports healing, and expresses the experiences, landscapes, and identities that make Inuit communities unique.
This year’s participants include:
- Agguaq Collective — launching an Inuit sewing revitalization mentorship program
- Alianait Arts Festival — reigniting traditional Inuit songs and arts at Alianait Festival
- Artcirq — delivering land-based cultural camps for Inuit youth
- Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum — resourcing exhibitions, events, and community engagement
During the cohort meetings, conversations flowed with warmth and excitement as participants discovered one another's work and the collective potential they hold in shaping Nunavut's arts and culture landscape. As Amber from Agguaq Collective shared, "The brilliance of Inuit is that when we come together, it amplifies." That spirit ran so deep that one participant chose to reshape their project and funding to allow for collaboration between all the organizations in the cohort.
We are excited to walk alongside these organizations as they bring their visions to life, and we look forward to sharing the stories and impact that emerge from this cohort in the year ahead.
