Annauma is guided by a deep belief that the people closest to their communities know them best.
This is why we believe decision-making power for our community granting belongs in the hands of Nunavummiut. Our Granting Advisory Council is a volunteer body that comes together to review grant applications and ensure Annauma’s funding support reaches where it’s needed most. We’re growing our council to represent Nunavut by inviting people of different ages, gender identities, and lived experiences to take a seat at our granting table.
We look for people who are:
- Connected to their communities through its people and organizations
- Knowledgeable of the local realities of life in their region
- Familiar or curious about the nonprofit sector
- Able to work collaboratively
Currently, we are looking for one member from each of the following regions: Kitikmeot, Kivalliq, North Baffin, and South Baffin.
